China’s new coronavirus infection cases exceeded 30,000 on the 24th

China reported a record number of new coronavirus infections on Friday, while some cities across the country are taking measures and containment measures to contain the outbreak.

On Thursday, the local coronavirus outbreak set a daily record for the second day in a row, breaking a record in mid-April, when the commercial hub of Shanghai was paralyzed by a two-month lockdown of the city’s 25 million residents.

In addition to imported infections, China reported 32,695 new indigenous cases on Thursday, of which 3,041 were symptomatic and 29,654 asymptomatic. 31,144 cases 1 day ago.

Financial center Shanghai added nine symptomatic cases and 77 asymptomatic cases on Thursday, compared with nine symptomatic cases and 58 asymptomatic cases reported the day before, according to local health authorities.

Guangzhou, a southern city with a population of nearly 19 million, reported 257 new locally transmitted infections and 7,267 asymptomatic cases on Thursday, compared with 428 symptomatic cases and 7,192 asymptomatic cases reported the day before.

Chongqing reported 258 new local infections and 6,242 asymptomatic cases on Thursday, local authorities said. A day earlier, Chongqing reported 409 symptomatic cases and 7,437 asymptomatic cases.

No new deaths have been reported in China.
