On Friday, US Vice President Joe Biden landed in Delhi, the capital of India, to attend the G20 Summit 2023, which will be held on September 9–10, 2023 and be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. After arriving in India on Friday, US President Biden met with PM Modi behind closed doors together with Janet Yellen. President Biden is making his first trip to India as US President.

In order to further deepen the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, which is founded on shared democratic values, strategic convergences, and strong people-to-people ties, the PM expressed his thanks for President Biden’s vision and dedication.
The PM’s historic State visit to the United States in June 2023 produced a number of forward-thinking and comprehensive recommendations, some of which are being implemented thanks to the India-U.S. Initiative for Critical and Emerging Technology (iCET), which was praised by the two leaders.
The leaders applauded the ongoing momentum in bilateral cooperation, which spans a range of fields including defense, trade, investment, education, health, research, and people-to-people relations.
President Biden expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the Prime Minister and people of India on Chandrayaan-3’s momentous landing close to the lunar south pole and emphasized the two nations’ expanding space collaboration.
The two leaders also discussed a variety of local and international concerns. They concurred that the collaboration between India and the US benefited not only the citizens of the two nations but also the entire world.
The Prime Minister thanked President Biden for the United States’ ongoing assistance in helping to make India’s G20 Presidency successful.
