According to the Meteorological Department, due to the cyclone, there will be heavy rains and due to the ‘astronomical tide’, the waves can rise up to 2-3 meters high. Due to the cyclone, there may be floods in the Kutch, Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar, and Morbi districts of Gujarat.

Cyclone ‘Biparjoy’ has knocked near Jakhau port in the Kutch district of Gujarat and the process of colliding with the coast has started. Its speed can go up to 140 km per hour. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said, “The process of collision of the cyclone has started.” Agencies have been kept on alert in view of the threat of cyclones. Director General of the department, Mrityunjay Mahapatra said, “The process of colliding with the cyclone started after entering the dense vascular clouds and Devbhoomi Dwarka districts. This will be completed by midnight. ‘

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the cyclone, there will be heavy rains and due to the ‘astronomical tide’, the waves can rise up to 2-3 meters high. Due to the cyclone, there may be floods in the Kutch, Dwarka, Porbandar, Jamnagar, and Morbi districts of Gujarat.

Precautionary, NDRF, SDRF, Army, and BSF personnel have been kept on alert in these districts. In view of the possibility of heavy rains and floods, about 1 lakh people from 8 districts have been evacuated to safe places. 15 teams of NDRF and 12 teams of SDRF are deployed for relief and rescue operations.

The effect will be seen in these locations

Due to the cyclone for the next four days, the rainy season may continue in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and UP. However, the expectation of the impact of this cyclone in Delhi is low. But there is a possibility of rain in the capital. According to the Meteorological Department, due to cyclonic winds, the rainy season in Delhi may continue for the next four days. There is a possibility of lightning in Madhya Pradesh due to the Biparji cyclone. At the same time, there may be rain in Punjab, Rajasthan, and Haryana with strong winds.
